Text | Rebecca, I just recently joined Ancestry.com and am inputting and gathering information on the "Criner" family. Thought you might be interested in the information I have. The Criner side has been hard to find. My son's grandfather was George Witham Criner. His parents were: George Henry Criner and Alice Witham, the daughter of Maria Nott and Erastus James Witham. I have Alice Witham birth as 1856 rather than 1865? Death February 14, 1909 Buried at Fort Wayne, Indiana Married George Henry Criner Born August 7, 1866 Death May 20, 1914 buried in Montanna They had 3 children: Myrtle Viola Criner Born April 1888 Death 1895 Viva Marie Criner Born December 15, 1904 Married to Howard Folkner Born November 15. George Witham Criner Born: September 6, 1906 Fr. Wayne, Indiana (retired railroader) Death: ____________ Married--first wife died of TB and 2nd marriage Golda Leona Skillin Born February 1912. Death _____________ I need to get current dates of births and deaths in this family. and the next generations. Criner's have a family reunion every Labor Day Weekend in Fairbury, Nebraska so, I plan to go and talk with family members and get all of the information up-to-date. (My own family tree has been traced on my side.) But, the Criner family falls short and I would like to locate information for my sons and grandchildren. I would be interested if you have any information on the Criners. Thought it might be helpful for you to know the first name of the unknown Criner married to Alice Witham. Thank you, Lana Criner [lcriner@alltel.net] | |
