| Text | COLUMBUS - Rulene Ford, 86, of Columbus, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at her home, in Columbus. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at McKown Funeral Home, in Columbus, with Rev. Dusty Sprague officiating. Burial will be in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, continuing 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, all at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Rulene Helen Ford was born Jan. 19, 1924, in Osborne, Kan. to Albert J. and Ethyl (McLaughlin) Paynter. She graduated from high school in Coffeyville, Kan. On May 29, 1942, Rulene was united in marriage to Ralph B. Ford in Coffeyville, Kan. The couple lived in Scottsbluff and Schuyler before moving to Columbus in the mid 1990's. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church. Rulene enjoyed reading and sewing. She is survived by her husband, Ralph B. Ford, of Columbus; daughter, Kay Anne (John) Sandor, of Marion, Iowa; daughter, Janice Rae Clark, of Lincoln; daughter, Lois Jean (Phil) Jayne, of Keizer, Ore.; daughter, Sue Ellen (David) Reid, of Hazel Green, Wis.; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
