Text | Funeral of Mr. Turner The funeral of John Pendleton Turner, who died Thursday night, will be held this morning, privately, at the residence, Parkwood apartments, Granby and Thirty-eighth street. Rev. E. P. Miner will conduct the service, and interment will be in Forest Lawn. Mr. Turner was the son of the late Dr. John Daniel Turner and Elizabeth Taylor Turner of Orapaxe, New Kent county, Virginia, and was married in 1914 to Mrs. Sallie Peebles Cox. He had been connected with the freigh department of the Norfolk & Western Railroad for a number of years. He was a member of the Elks and of Ruth lodge of Masons. He had lived in Norfolk 20 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. N. L. Henley of Williamsburg, Va.; Mrs. Louise B Jones of New Rochelle, N. Y.; Mrs. J. J. Montague and Miss Mary Turner, both of Richmond, and three brothers, William R. Turner of Minneapolis, Minn.; Ben and Robert Turner, both of Lauexa, Va. | |
