  	Heart Attack takes Wm. G. Skillin, 50 Former Irving Man William G. Skillin, 50, Leavenworth, a former Irving resident died January 17, 1973 at a Leavenworth hospital of a heart attack. Memorial services were held Friday morning, January 19 at Larkin Funeral home in Leavenworth with funeral services at Frankfort United Methodist church with Rev. Wayne Feuerbacher officiating. Born at Frankfort, September 22, 1922, he was the son of Robert and Martha Scoville Skillin. He moved with his parents to a farm south of Irving and attended the Irving high school. He was married to Theda Henderson of Alma, March 3, 1948 and they were the parents of three children. They moved to Leavenworth 16 years ago, where he was a correctional officer at the federal penitiary. A veteran of World War II he was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Church of the Open Door at Leavenworth. Survivors are his widow, Theda of the home; two sons, William Skillin, U.S. Navy, Norfolk, Va.; Robert Skillin, Blue Rapids; one daughter, Betty Joy Skillin of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Padgett and Mrs. Esther Adkins, Blue Rapids. Pallbearers were Harry Blaske, Fritz Blaske, Richard Blaske, Orville L. Carter, Melton Holm, and Claude Prebble. Burial was in the Frankfort cemetery.
