  Notes	He came to Milford Township, Defiance Co., OH in the year 1848 where he bought 160 acres of woodland, put up a log house and cleared his farm. In the year 1857 he had a large frame house erected, and gradually improved his fine farm until in 1862, when he was having a bank barn built, he was taken sick on the job and died one week later of catarrh and erysipelas.
