Mrs. Blair Dead Mrs. J. Renwick Blair, a well known citizen of Six Mile Prairie, died July 29, at the age of 55 years. The funeral was held at the church at Culter on Friday, July 31, and the interment was at Cutler cemetery. Her husband and one son, Howard, reside at Mt. Vernon, Ill., and one daughter, Mrs E. S. Dochterman, of Houston, Texas, survive. Mr. Blair will leave the farm and make his home with his son at Mt. Vernon. Louise Ashworth was born near Ashton-Under-Lynn, England, April 3, 1859, and died July 29, 1914, aged 55 years, 3 months, and 26 days. Her father died when she was five years old . She came to this country with her mother when she was nine years old and grew up in the neighborhood of Cutler. She was united in marriage with J. Renwick Blair Feb 5, 1884. She has been a member of the Cutler United Presbyterian chruch since early womanhood, also a member of the Ladies Missionary Society and the W.C.T.U., and took great interst in church, missionary and temperance work, but was hapmpered in her activities of late years by deafness which was a great regret to her. While interested in this work her first concern was always for the welfare of her own family. The funeral services were held at the U.P. church, Cutler, Friday afternoon, July 31st, conducted by her pastor, Rev. R. H. Barr. | ||
