  Notes	Jeremiah Slade was a general in the American Forces stationed at Norfolk, VA in the War of 1812. His former residence is standing in a good state of repair near Williamston, Martin Co., NC. The family cemetery is enclosed by an iron fence and contains numerous markers of graves, including those of Jeremiah and Janet. There are many records concerning the Slade family in the County offices at Williamston.
